NEW YORK (WABC) — A family from Staten Island is looking for reality and justice right after their son was shot and killed while traveling overseas in Chile.
Eric Garvin, 38, was shot three moments in the cash town of Santiago on January 14 whilst using a image.
“From a father’s perspective, this is the darkest working day in my existence and my wife’s existence,” reported his father Eric D. Garvin, who spoke solely to Eyewitness Information on Wednesday.
The victim’s father and sister flew to Chile to satisfy with investigators who are examining unreleased safety video of the criminal offense.
“What they explained to us is my son was innocently walking down the street, paused for a moment, took a snapshot of a making in a drug-infested space,” Garvin claimed. “And immediately adhering to that, a few gentlemen arrived throughout the road grabbed my son and stole his cell phone and shot him 3 instances and he died there on the scene.”
The 38-calendar year-previous legal professional by trade graduated substantial university in Maryland and moved to Staten Island a ten years back.
