Assistant Secretary of State for Worldwide Narcotics and Regulation Enforcement Affairs (INL) Todd D. Robinson will journey to Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos from June 6 – 17 to check with and deepen cooperation with regional associates on transnational legal threats.
When in Thailand from June 6 to 9, Assistant Secretary Robinson will meet with senior authorities officers to examine bilateral and regional issues of mutual concern, such as counternarcotics, transnational criminal offense, and border security. The Assistant Secretary will take a look at the International Law Enforcement Academy in Bangkok, a joint effort involving the U.S. Govt and the Royal Thai Federal government, to observe instruction courses. He will also participate in a tour of the Golden Triangle to explore ongoing bilateral counter trafficking attempts and added requires with Thai law enforcement counterparts.
Whilst in Vietnam from June 9 to 15, Assistant Secretary Robinson will meet up with with Vietnamese federal government and regulation enforcement officers to explore precedence regulation enforcement difficulties, maritime security, and illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing.
