Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is said to be when America’s retailers finally “get out of the red” for the year. On Black Friday, sales of heavily discounted merchandise will push merchants “into the black,” profitability.

While this origin story has its doubters, the battered travel industry has come up with some sales magic for Black Friday 2022. We’ve rounded up some great Black Friday international travel deals.

Business class to Milan or Paris: $2000 Round-trip

There are many take-offs on Black Friday, like Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday. All-business-class airline La Compagnie just launched a “Blue Friday” fare sale in a nod to their sky-blue aircraft.

Anyone who has checked international business class knows the prices are astronomical. But through November 22, 2022, the Blue Friday sale on La Compagnie offers all-business-class flights from Newark (EWR) to Milan and Paris for as low as$2,000 round-trip, good for travel through fall 2023.

Often called a “boutique airline,” La Compagnie operates new long-range Airbus A321neo aircraft, each outfitted with 76 lie-flat business-class seats. In addition to business-class comfort on board, flights include two checked bags per passenger, pre-flight lounge access and TSA PreCheck service.

To put you in the mood for a great trip, Italian and French chefs create on-board meals. Meals are served with a promising selection of wines and champagne.

If you’re not traveling with that special someone (or even if you are) there are partitions between adjoining seats, so you can focus on the big seatback screens showing both American and French films. If you must work or stream, there is complimentary Wi-Fi. If you’d rather rest, you get a pillow, customer, and a travel bag with eye mask, flight socks and toiletries.

The deal is available on select La Compagnie flights between December 1, 2022, and October 31, 2023, with no specific holiday periods blacked out and subject to availability. Tickets are nonrefundable.

Norse Atlantic: $119 One-Way From NYC to London, Berlin

If a business class trip across the Pond isn’t in your budget, worry not. Startup Norse Atlantic has you covered for Black Friday.

Launched in March 2021, Norse Atlantic is a long-haul, low-cost airline flying transatlantic routes with big modern Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Sounds like the good old days of Norwegian, when that budget airline set flight records to Europe using similar aircraft.

Cathay Pacific: Black Friday Flights to Asia Starting at $679

If Asia is your dream destination, Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific says their biggest fare sale of the year is on. From now until November 28th, Cathay Pacific Black Friday deals let you choose from 34 destinations in Asia, including China, India, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Australia and the Philippines.

Flights in Economy Class start at $679, Premium Economy from $1,349 and Business Class from $3,166, round trip. According to Cathay Pacific, prices quoted are based on one adult return fare and include taxes and carrier-imposed surcharges.

Deals include Bangkok, with Economy flights starting at USD $691, Premium Economy $1,558 and Business Class $3,959, and Tokyo, Economy USD $694, Premium Economy $1,646, Business $3,351. Then there’s Ho Chi Minh City, Economy USD $692, Premium Economy $1,559, Business $3,194, and even Kathmandu, Economy $836, Premium Economy $1,998, and Business $4,256.

There are also Black Friday deals to another 30 destinations throughout Asia.
