Top places to travel for summer 2022 in Michigan

With temperatures heating up, Michigan residents are honing in on the state’s most common getaway spots for the summer months. Equivalent to past summers, significant towns and beach destinations seem to be most preferred, says Theresa Winters, owner of Faraway Destinations Vacation. 

This summer’s top Michigan places are Grand Rapids, Traverse City and other seashore towns, Winters says.

“It’s normally the locations that are centered all-around the Great Lakes, Traverse town getting an alternate,” she suggests. “Traverse City is a warm desired destination and sites alongside the west coastline such as the Fields Vacation resort, which is glamping and a single of a sort… Silver Lakes and what I like to discuss to folks about is that you can really make two visits out of one, heading to Grand Rapids for all of the festivals and the Meijer Gardens, but then also hitting up Silver Lakes or Sleeping Bear Dunes.
