Women Working in Aviation

Everyone knows the world of aviation is mostly a man’s game; when you search for pictures of a pilot online, much like searching for images of doctors, you’re primarily going to find images results of men sitting in the cockpit and women mostly show up as flight attendants. But women are just as important in aviation as men.

Every year since 2015, the number of women choosing to pursue a career in commercial aviation has been steadily increasing. In 2015 it was reported that there were only 14,580 female student pilots enrolled in pilot training courses, but as of 2021, that number has jumped up to 36,618, a whopping 151{0b5b04b8d3ad800b67772b3dcc20e35ebfd293e6e83c1a657928cfb52b561f97} increase!
